Quenched and tempered gear - bore shape selection and K/A/B gear forms

Bore options (top) and K / A / B gear geometry (bottom) — all dimensions in mm. Drawings show standard forms; custom features per your drawing.

Product Description

Quenched and tempered gears are steel gears that have been austenitized, rapidly quenched, and then tempered — producing a uniform through-section hardness with an optimal balance of strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Compared with non-hardened gears, Q&T gears carry higher torque, resist tooth deformation under shock loads, and last significantly longer in heavy-duty drive systems.

At YCX Precision Gear, every Q&T gear is engineered to your drawing. We match the steel grade and heat-treatment route to your duty cycle — through-hardening for impact-loaded large modules, induction hardening for tooth-surface wear resistance with minimal distortion, or carburizing for maximum fatigue life. Machining is done after heat treatment to restore bore concentricity and tooth accuracy, so your gear runs true from day one.

Applications include industrial gearboxes, reducers, construction machinery, mining equipment, machine tool drives, and heavy-vehicle transmission components. Whether you need a one-off sample or a recurring production batch, our ISO 9001:2015 certified workshop delivers consistent metallurgy with full traceability — mill certificates, heat-treatment charts, and hardness reports included with every shipment.
